NAAE Day Conference 20th May 2017- Council House, Birmingham

Principled pedagogies: supporting pupils to make progress in testing times

When high stakes testing dominates the educational agenda and there are signs that the professionalism of the English teaching community is under threat, it is important for English professionals, from all phases, to consider the best ways to retain a balanced and inclusive curriculum

Some of the themes our highly experienced trainers will explore are:
● the key issues emerging from the new testing arrangements
● how to show that good teaching will lead to good test results and how creativity can play
a role in preparing for a test
● how to use a range of media to enhance the testing experience
● the importance of a contextualised approach to language work
