Supporting English-related teaching and learning at all levels

RESOURCE SPOTLIGHT: Opening doors to a richer English curriculum

Many members will be familiar with Bob Cox’s work promoting the need for depth and breadth in the English curriculum at Key Stages 1, 2 and 3, also explored on his website, including articles by Vicky Bluck and Red Barn Primary School and a series of video blogs.

Bob has now co-published, with Leah Crawford and Verity Jones, two complementary books exploring the rationale and methodology for a rich English diet which he hopes “can support your drive for challenging English for all pupils, pitched high but accessed by all.” There are now reviews on Amazon by Martin Galway, Teresa Cremin, Mary Myatt and many others.
